Progress Report: Fall Muestras
Two weeks ago, our students took the spotlight during Fall Muestra Week, showing off all the amazing progress they’ve made—and having a ton of fun doing it! Families, friends, and community members got to experience the hard work, growth, and musical achievements of each ensemble:
Preludio (PRE): Students taught their families how to pluck along to The Ants Song, creating a fun and interactive learning moment.
Chamber (CH): Students taught the audience the chorus for We Will Rock You, filling the room with rhythm, stomp–clap energy, and lots of laughter.
Concert Orchestra (CO): Performed the entirety of Sahara Crossing, where students showcased growing confidence and strong ensemble playing in a minor key.
Philharmonia (PHIL): Performed one of their repertoire pieces in its entirety, Vivaldi’s Concerto for Strings in C minor, marking a milestone in their focus, musicality, and ensemble growth.
Ensemble Collaboration: Some PHIL students and teachers joined Combo in their performance, contributing in both the ensemble and percussion section—a great example of collaboration and musical versatility.
We can’t wait to share even more music with you soon—join us at our upcoming Winter Showcase on December 15 at 6:30 PM at Eisenhower High School Auditorium to cheer on our young musicians and celebrate all their hard work!
