Hi! My name is Itzel Elena Perez, also known as Ms. Ramirez. I’m proud to be an original member of Yakima Music en Acción (YAMA), having participated in the program for eight transformative years, from 5th grade through high school. YAMA was instrumental in shaping my leadership skills, nurturing my love for music, and providing me with a safe space to grow. After earning my Business Administration degree from the University of Washington, I returned to YAMA as Operations Coordinator, driven by a deep commitment to its mission. My goal is to help the program expand, ensuring that more youth in the Yakima community have access to the life-changing opportunities that YAMA offers. Through my role on the administrative team, I aim to combine my passion for music and business to support YAMA’s continued success and growth.
